If you haven’t heard this, the Belgian based agency Boulevart won a MAX award at MAX Europe earlier this week. When the finalists were announced a few weeks ago, Boulevart’s Wim Vanhenden promised to shave his head if they actually won the award… Today, all his colleagues took turns cutting pieces from his hair before shaving it all off. I think he learned his lesson ;-)

If you’re not in Milan for MAX Europe, you actually missed the coolest Cocomo demo ever ;-) Andrew and I created the “Paparazzi Central” Cocomo application where paparazzi can share tips with colleagues and upload photos to share with publishers all over the world. During our demo, paparazzi in Milan were already uploading images to the application… and I thought it was a good idea to share them with you here ;-)

Hey… I have to set a pretty high standard for Andrew and myself, right? We will be doing the Cocomo demo in Milan and we think we created something really cool and hopefully funny.

So, since Andrew and I are now going to be part of the keynote in Milan, it’s obvious that we won’t be able to live blog the keynote this time. Luckily our colleagues Mihai, Tom and Piotr will take care of the live blogging this time. So… Make sure you don’t miss our Cocomo demo… either live in Milan or via the live blog!

As some of you may have noticed, the Flash Catalyst hands-on sessions are completely sold out. They actually sold out very quickly but we do understand that some of you still want to see what you can do with the preview release of Flash Catalyst. That’s why we just added an extra session where Andrew Spaulding and I will show you the workflows we do in the hands-on labs so you can also get an idea of the workflows between Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and Flash Catalyst.

With so many announcements at MAX (and after), I thought it was a good idea to do a round up of all the cool stuff we announced/showed/released this week.

Alchemy: Alchemy is a research project that allows users to compile C and C++ code that is targeted to run on the open source ActionScript Virtual Machine.

Bolt: Bolt is the code name for a new Eclipse based development tool that you can use to build applications for ColdFusion. Click to sign up for the beta.

Centaur: Centaur is the code name for the next release of ColdFusion. Beta applications are now being accepted. Click for more info.

Cocomo: Cocomo is a Platform as a Service that allows Flex developers to easily add real-time social capabilities into their RIA.

Configurator: Configurator is an open source utility that enables the easy creation of panels (palettes) for use in Photoshop CS4.

Durango: Durango allows developers, designers and end-users to easily mashup independent components to create new applications or extend existing Durango-enabled applications.

Flash Catalyst: Flash Catalyst is a new professional interaction design tool for rapidly creating application interfaces and interactive content without coding.

Genesis: Genesis is the code name for a new product initiative at Adobe with the objective of joining business applications, documents and the web on every knowledge worker’s desktop with integrated collaboration capabilities.

Gumbo: Gumbo is the code name for the next generation of Flex.

InContext Editing: InContext Editing is an online service that allows designers to create, manage, and control editable web pages.

PatchPanel: A first glimpse at combining the dynamic control of ActionScript with the power of Adobe’s Creative Suite.

Pixel Bender 5: An image and video processing infrastructure with runtime optimization on heterogeneous hardware.

Stratus: A new communications protocol called the Real-Time Media Flow Protocol (RTMFP). The most important features of RTMFP include low latency, end-to-end peering capability, security and scalability.

Text Layout Framework: The Text Layout Framework is an extensible library, built on the new text engine in Adobe Flash Player 10, which delivers advanced, easy-to-integrate typographic and text layout features for rich, sophisticated and innovative typography on the web.

Wave: Wave is an Adobe AIR application and Adobe hosted service that work together to enable desktop notifications.

Wow… That should keep you busy for a while ;-)

Since we had lots of fun doing this yesterday and since you guys gave us some really nice feedback, Andrew and I decided to do this again today. The only difference is that we’ll be a bit better organized today. Ted Patrick hooked us up with front row seats so we can take better pictures.

The theme for the day 2 keynote is “Design, Develop, Deploy” and will be lead by Ben Forta, Director of Platform Evangelism. We have some really nice surprises lined up for you and I can’t wait to hear/read your reaction to them! Sometimes, I wake up with crazy ideas. Usually, I take a little more time executing these ideas but this morning was a bit different. One hour before the MAX keynote started, I started setting up the live blogging account and got Andrew on board.

For the day 2 keynote, we are going to be a little more organized ;-) For one, Ted is going to arrange front row seats, so we can take better pictures and I’ll bring a spare laptop in case one of our batteries run out.
