This is seriously off topic but important enough to blog about it. Right now, we are counting down to the most important meeting of our lives. This December, world leaders will come together in Copenhagen to hammer out a global climate treaty. There are less than 36 days left, which is enough time to show them that we want a bold, ambitious, and fair agreement. It is time for us to come together to build a cleaner and more secure world, but the clock is ticking.

Please join me in adding my voice to the largest mandate for action that the world has seen.

Hi everyone. My name is Serge and I’m an addict.

Admitting you have a problem is the first important step. And yes, I admit :D But every once in a while, I do try to unplug so I’m guessing that I’m not doing that bad… Or is that denial? What I mean to say is that I’m going to try and unplug for the next 2 weeks. I already know that it’s not going to work since there’s so much cool stuff going on at Adobe (in preparation for MAX) that I just have to keep up with the latest news. That means I will be traveling with my laptop, will probably Tweet every once in a while and will probably try to keep up with email.

Ok… I really am an addict… I guess it’s time to join the Social Media Addicts Association.

Happy Holidays!

Charity auction for Unicef – Get your limited edition Adobe bags here!

Andrew and I have found ourselves with an excess supply of Adobe-branded bags. I mean… How many bags does one need? ;-) So we decided to auction them off for charity.

We currently have five limited edition bags for you choose from, including a backpack, an over-the-shoulder laptop bag, a beach bag, a sports holdall and the big one… a very limited edition Platform Evangelism laptop bag (only issued to Adobe platform evangelists). All the bags are shown below, together with a link through to the eBay page… As an added bonus, each bag will also contain a Flex or AIR book – we have a stack of different books, so no promises as to which one you’ll receive though.

Auctions close in 10 days and all the money raised from the sale of these bags will be then be matched by Adobe (we have a gift matching scheme for recognized charities) and donated to Unicef. Please donate generously and spread the word about the auction… it’s all for a good cause.

Time flies…

Wow… Time really does fly when you’re having fun! Almost a year ago, I joined Adobe’s platform evangelism team. I didn’t realize it was almost a year ago, until I looked in my calender and realized that I hadn’t taken any time off since well… a year ago. I’m convinced that proves that I really love this job! ;-) Meeting new people just about every day and getting them enthused about our platform is just amazingly energizing.

That being said, there are some exciting times ahead and the next few weeks were ideal (well… almost) to take a break. So that means that I won’t be updating my blog for the next coming weeks and that I won’t be approving any comments etc.

I am really looking forward to the next coming months. There are some exciting announcements coming. You do not want to miss our MAX conference this year! So I hope to see you in either San Francisco, Milan or Tokyo. I’m doing a session on workflows between Flash CS4 and Flex and also a Thermo hands-on lab together with NJ.

Oh… If you haven’t already done so, why not subscribe to my RSS feed so your newsreader can tell you when I’m back in action… See you all in a few weeks!
