Live blogging MAX 2008 sneak peak session

“Why not go all the way and also live blog the sneak peaks?”, Andrew asked me about an hour ago.

So yeah… Why not? :D
The sneak peaks start at 5:45pm PST, 2:45am CET

MAX San Francisco Keynote day 2 liveblog

Since we had lots of fun doing this yesterday and since you guys gave us some really nice feedback, Andrew and I decided to do this again today. The only difference is that we’ll be a bit better organized today. Ted Patrick hooked us up with front row seats so we can take better pictures.

The theme for the day 2 keynote is “Design, Develop, Deploy” and will be lead by Ben Forta, Director of Platform Evangelism. We have some really nice surprises lined up for you and I can’t wait to hear/read your reaction to them! The keynote starts at 10.30am PST, 7.30pm CET – use the sign-up feature below to get a reminder when it’s about to start…

Live blogging Day 2 keynote

Sometimes, I wake up with crazy ideas. Usually, I take a little more time executing these ideas but this morning was a bit different. One hour before the MAX keynote started, I started setting up the live blogging account and got Andrew on board.

For the day 2 keynote, we are going to be a little more organized ;-) For one, Ted is going to arrange front row seats, so we can take better pictures and I’ll bring a spare laptop in case one of our batteries run out.

Sadly, I can’t tell you anything about the content for tomorrow’s keynote but I can tell you that we’re gonna have some pretty cool surprises tomorrow! So if you don’t want to miss anything, why not sign up now and you’ll get a reminder when we’re about to start.

A sneak peak behind the scenes at MAX2008

As promised earlier, I sneaked in to the Moscone center this morning to get you a sneak peak of the preparations for Monday’s keynote session. Unfortunately, I am so jetlagged that I was actually way too early. The tech crew was still setting up but at least you now get a quick peak behind the scenes of MAX2008.

Thermo and Flash/Flex workflows at MAX

thermologo.jpgI’m sure most of you know by now that MAX is THE event to get more info on the new technologies that Adobe is working on. We’ve been talking about Thermo for a while now and if you looked at the MAX schedule, I’m sure you noticed that there are quite a few sessions on Thermo at both MAX San Francisco and MAX Milan.

Ryan Stewart is doing a “Next-Generation Flex Authoring” session in both San Francisco and Milan. Ryan will provide walkthroughs and demos of Thermo and Flex Builder Next.

I am going to team up with the Thermo team (NJ and Adam Cath) in San Francisco and with Andrew Spaulding in Milan to do a 90 minute hands-on with Thermo session. In San Francisco, all our lab sessions are sold out but I just saw we have exactly 4 places left in Milan! If you haven’t registered for the lab session, you need to do so now. These hands-on sessions are only available to a limited amount of people and you do need to register for them!
More info on this session in San Francisco.
More info on this session in Milan.

I am also doing a “Flex Workflows with Flash CS4 Professional” session where you’ll learn how to integrate your Flash CS4 designs and animations with Flex development. This is not just about the Flex component kit but I’ll also talk about new workflows between Flash CS4 and Flex that you haven’t heard about yet.

I am really excited about MAX this year. I know I said it before but I’ll say it again. We have so much cool stuff to show you guys at the keynotes and sneak peaks! And I also want to point out that we won’t be announcing everything at MAX in San Francisco. Some of the technologies won’t even be ready at MAX San Francisco but will be ready at MAX Milan!

If you haven’t registered yet, I posted a discount code a few days ago that saves you €240 on the price of a full conference pass.

Also, if you want to meet up in San Francisco or Milan, be sure to drop me a note. See you there!
